Thank You for Making #PharmacyWeek2026 a Success!

Theme: Own your Health: Step Up, Live Well!

Pharmacy Week is an annual health initiative organised by the Pharmaceutical Society of Singapore (PSS) to promote health awareness and highlight the roles pharmacists play in supporting patients and communities. The 2026 theme, “Own Your Health: Step Up, Live Well”, encourages members of the public to take an active role in their health and make informed lifestyle and healthcare choices, guided and supported by pharmacists.

This year, more than 900 participants attended the Pharmaceutical Society of Singapore (PSS) Pharmacy Week 2026 Health Carnival, where pharmacists brought personalised health conversations on preventive care, health checks and tips on responsible medicine use into the community.

Held at Ang Mo Kio Central Stage, the carnival was part of the annual Pharmacy Week activities organised by PSS in conjunction with World Pharmacists Day on 25 September.

This year, our Pharmacy Week committee have taken a person-centered approach into practice through targeted interactive booths and interactive stage talks featuring health topics such as safe use of medication, vaccinations and its myths, fall prevention, insomnia and living with the “Three Highs (High Blood Sugar, High Blood Pressure and High Cholesterol)”, giving members of the public the opportunities to hear directly from pharmacists and ask questions on common health concerns.

Roaming Games during the Carnival to promote public education on safe usage of medicines

This year, PSS has also collaborated with Omron to design the High blood pressure Atrial Fibrillation (HAFib)
public education program which involves community pharmacists from 30 branches across Guardian,
Watsons and Unity pharmacy to engage with the public about what healthy blood pressure readings look
like. Since its launch in late June this year, about 1 in 3 persons (104 out of 267) screened through this
initiative had, or were at risk of high blood pressure. 4 community cases (1.5%) of irregular heart rhythm
were detected and referred to doctors for further assessment.

Volunteers in action helping members of the public

This event marks our inaugural collaborative artwork between pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and members of the public. Participants pledged to befriend a pharmacist to achieve their personal health goals, while pharmacists and pharmacy technicians wrote meaningful messages for the public, reflecting the enduring trust and close relationships built over time

Lastly, on behalf of the PW26 Organising Committee, we would like to thank our event partners, sponsors and volunteers for their unwavering support in making this event a success.

We look forward to having you to join us in Pharmacy Week 2027!
