Theme: BEFRIEND YOUR PHARMACISTS, STAY ON TOP OF YOUR HEALTH!
The Pharmaceutical Society of Singapore (PSS) celebrated the Pharmacy Week this year from the 21st to the 28th of September. This year’s theme, “Befriend Your Pharmacist. Stay on Top of Your Health!” highlights the important role that pharmacists play as accessible healthcare partners – offering trusted advice, personalised coaching, and empowering the public to make informed health decisions.
The Pharmacy Week Health Carnival was successfully held on 21st September at Heartbeat@Bedok with the continued support from our event partners- NUS Health Test, Advise and Go (Health T.A.G.), and SingHealth. The carnival was attended by more than 1,000 participants. A total of 206 participants also completed the full health circuit from the Health T.A.G and received personalised reviews, health assessments, and valuable counselling from our pharmacists.

In line with this year’s theme, the health carnival provided attendees with educational opportunities designed to empower individuals to take ownership of their health and highlight pharmacists’ role as accessible healthcare partners.
Roaming Games during the Carnival to promote environmental sustainability, by reducing medication waste and properly dispose of expired medications.
Attendees responded enthusiastically to the event’s engaging line-up of activities with positive feedback received on:
- Educational game booth (e.g. Smoking cessation, bone health and minor ailments)
- Insightful health talks delivered by pharmacist representatives on “Safe Use of Medication“, ”Fall Risk Prevention” and “Travel Medication”.
- Roaming games that promoted environmental sustainability in healthcare.
The PW25 Organising Committee produced five educational videos that highlighted the important roles that pharmacists play in preventive health and medication use. These videos covered the following topics: Safe Use of Medicines, Smoking Cessation, Vaccinations, Pediatric Health, and Geriatric Health.
The content increased our overall online reach via social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram) and event website. The total online reach more than doubled from last year attracting over 100,000 unique viewers!
This event marks our inaugural collaborative artwork between pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and members of the public. Participants pledged to befriend a pharmacist to achieve their personal health goals, while pharmacists and pharmacy technicians wrote meaningful messages for the public, reflecting the enduring trust and close relationships built over time
Lastly, on behalf of the PW25 Organising Committee, we would like to thank our event partners, sponsors and volunteers for their unwavering support in making this event a success.
We look forward to having you to join us in Pharmacy Week 2026 !
