On 18-Oct-2011, PSS hosted a group of pharmacy leaders from the Sogo Medical from Japan. Sogo Medical now employs in excess of 1,100 pharmacists with its business covering a diversified range from retail pharmacy business, to health insurance, leasing & installment sales of medical equipment to clinic & hospital management etc.

In conjunction with the 46th National Day of Singapore, the following members of PSS were honoured with National Day Awards 2011 for their fervent and ceaseless contribution to the profession in addition to their sterling performance at work.
Another edition of the highly anticipated Singapore Pharmacy Congress was concluded recently at the Sheraton Towers. This marked the 21st time the PSS organised such annual event and the theme for this year focused on “Partnering Community, Optimising Care”. This has been an opportune moment
Prudence & Cost of Your Medications
As of 01-Apr-2011, after having served 8 full illustrious years, Ms Ang Hui Gek has relinquished her role as the Chief Pharmacist.
Ms Ang has been a familiar face driving the many initiatives in the pharmacy practice in the post-restructuring era, having taken over the baton from the then Chief Pharmacist Mrs Tan Shook Fong. Ms Ang has henceforth returned to her full-time role as the Director, Allied Health Division in SGH.
